the value of Perspective

We are a made up of a multitude of experiences, so why not try to improve those experiences of how we navigate the world and how we do so together? So far, I have done this through customer/employee services, environments, print, web design, and technology experiences for the federal government, non-profits, foundations, and restaurants. I’m always thinking of those 30,000 ft views – how did we get to this point  – what’s around us – what does this future look like – the experience is never just the one piece in front of you.

HUMAN CENTERED Design

Design touches everything and influences the way we use everyday things, the space around us, and life on and off the web. I always sought the bigger picture of user experience touchpoints - my research and co-creation is an expanded view on every project - and that’s now led me to behavioral science and the when and how and why users interact with the constellation of touchpoints and with one another and Service Design. And I’ve done this at some of the largest and most impactful service scales - within the federal government.

USER EXPERIENCE

As an empathetic strategic thinker and dedicated learner, all of my work is about human interaction. From interviews to user flows, to working sessions, to wireframes and prototypes, the accessible experience of a user through a space (digital, print, environmental) is how they’re able to accomplish tasks and get more out of their experiences. User experience also comes together not with one designer, but through a multi-disciplinary team of researchers, data scientists, developers, producers, business designers, services designers, and so many more.

Environments

From a university professor who introduced me to environmental design, to an internship at an architecture firm, the built environment and the way people flow and interact in a space has always been part of my work. I have been fortunate enough to explore restaurant graphics and environmental design for conferences and events, as well as conceptual environmental work. When we consider a holistic approach, the physical space around us is just as vital to design as the less tactile experiences.
